‘I don’t go south of the river’ – Well why the hell not?! Our SE1 area guide will make you think twice!

SE1 is our homestead, our stomping ground and we are well proud of it. With its booming cultural scene, fantastic transport links, and a community feel, living here-you really can have it all! As a matter of fact, we can’t see why you would want to live anywhere else!

SE1 covers the boroughs of Lambeth and Southwark with banging locations such as London Bridge, Borough, Elephant and Castle, Waterloo, Bermondsey and Lambeth

What to do?

Borough: Borough Market is certainly one of the biggest pulls of the area, a heaven for foodies (and drinkies!). Offering speciality foods from all over the world, it’s the perfect place to grab a tasty brunch on a Saturday.

A View Lettings favourite would have to be Gujarati Rasoi-serving up the tastiest veggie curries and street fare going.

If you’re feeling thirsty-try The Wheatsheaf-great beers coupled with a cosy feel, truly make it the perfect stop for a pint or 3!

Elephant and Castle:  If you like a good night out, you can’t get much better than The Coronet. This 2600-capacity venue hosts some of the best club nights and music events in town! Over the years, there have been some amazing parties-as well as performances from Justin Timberlake, Groove Armada and Alicia Keys.

Another banging venue is Corsica Studios, slightly smaller than the massive Coronet but brings the best live music and delivers a great party vibe.

Waterloo: This area just speaks for itself! The Old Vic theatre at its heart-brings the best modern productions and artistic vibe while The Cut provides great shops, coffee spots and bars. Cubana is a particular View favourite for a feast and fiesta!
