Whitechapel is a very affordable area, yet very convenient to reach virtually any part of central London. Jack-the-Ripper’s old stomping ground – it has some beautiful old buildings, some great pubs and the very cool Whitechapel Gallery. It also has strong links with London’s punk rock scene – Rhythm Factory being a particularly popular venue.
There’s a good mix of property in the area, from Georgian and Victorian houses through to high rises, ex-council stock and plenty of modern new build apartments. So whatever you’re looking for, with the area on the up the time to move is now.
If you work in the city, you could easily walk from bed to desk! The three tube lines (Overground, District and Hammersmith & City) allow you to reach the rest of town really easily, meaning no matter where you work, your commute should be pretty simple.
